Doing the Right Thing for Our Planet

We are dedicated to environmental stewardship. Our commitment to sustainable transportation includes offering charging stations in partnership with Tesla. Our LEED Gold Certification highlights our eco-friendly practices, such as the use of solar panels, advanced building management systems, and comprehensive water and waste management programs. By enhancing energy efficiency and minimizing our environmental impact, we aim to provide exceptional guest experiences while promoting sustainability.

Doing the Right Thing for Our Guests

We prioritise both guest well-being and environmental responsibility. Our in-house bottling plant, Nordaq, supplies water in reusable glass bottles, reducing plastic waste. Guests can opt for less frequent towel and linen changes, conserving water in laundry services. Our bathrooms feature efficient toilets and taps to lower water use, and we repurpose stormwater and air conditioning condensation for non-potable uses. We have eliminated single-use plastics and incorporated eco-friendly amenities.

Doing the Right Thing for Our Community

At Mandarin Oriental, Doha, we preserve natural and historical heritage through archaeological site and beach cleanups. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we donate proceeds to support research in Qatar. Our partnerships address diverse community needs, focusing on educating the younger generation. Colleagues receive a paid volunteer day annually and complete annual sustainability training.
